Gertrude’s father:
John Henry Bering b. february, 1857, Highland, Wisconsin.
Only John and one brother married, two brothers and one sister died of TB, one sister didn’t marry. The sister that died of TB was Delphine Bering Cross, who left two daughters.
Father’s father: Anton Bering b. 1837, Munster, Germany - d. in his 40’s of heart attack. Began the family bible.
Father’s mother: Margaret Wall Bering. b. Ireland, met in this country.

Gertrude’s mother:
Mary Ellen Reddington Bering “Nana”, b. June 25, 1863, Muscatine, Iowa Muscatine County.
